Job Summary

Krueger Custom Steel & Machining Ltd. is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic and Millwright to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective machinery parts.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various types of equipment, including conveyor systems, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, and industrial and stationary engines.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and make adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment is an asset.
  • Certifications: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification, Construction Millwright Trade Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and move equipment as needed.
