Risk Management Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Comtech Group Inc. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of risk management plans, risk registers, and risk reports for large infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management plans and risk registers.
  • Facilitate risk management meetings to support completion of 5-steps risk readiness.
  • Maintain risk registers at the project and program level.
  • Lead the performance of Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis using Risk Management software.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed project and program risk reports.
  • Lead following up with risk owners to ensure mitigation actions are on track.
  • Participate in the review of contractor progress reports and identifying the risks impacting project cost and schedule.
  • Consult with scheduling team to prepare high-level schedules and assess detailed schedules.
  • Lead monitoring project contingency utilization and alignment with cost risk exposures.
  • Evaluate risk mitigation effectiveness by consulting with clients, project staff, and senior management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in construction risk management for large infrastructure projects.
  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Registered for and actively seeking recognized Risk Management certification such as Risk Management Professional (RMP).
  • Proficient in the use of Risk Management software, such as Active Risk Manager (ARM), Oracle Primavera Risk Analyzer (OPRA), Acumen Risk, Safran or comparable dedicated software.
  • Extensive knowledge of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
