Job Title: Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers.

Work Setting:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where you will work with a team to prepare and serve food to our customers. You will be responsible for determining the size of food portions and costs, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, and maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Manage kitchen operations
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

As a Cook, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of physical activity. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure. You must be able to work in a team environment and have excellent communication skills.

Personal Suitability:

We are looking for a team player who is reliable, organized, and has excellent time management skills. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level of attention to detail.
