About the Role

At BGIS, we are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Respond to service requests and perform corrective maintenance as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a critical facility providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment.
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
