Job Summary

The Retail Sales Representative is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering sales and merchandising results in an assigned retail territory. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Merchandising: Deliver sales results against quotas across all clients in assigned territories, meeting client expectations regarding sales and call coverage and productivity.
  • Client Coverage: Assist supervisors on retail initiatives, such as new product introductions and contests, and deliver 100% coverage every reporting cycle of assigned retail territory according to client frequency plans.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report accurate information into Acosta's proprietary network and transmit on a daily basis, answer NARS questions for all clients assigned, and report any issues via store comments section of handheld device.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, have a valid driver's license, and be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent in industry name required.
  • Experience: Prior retail experience (to include Retail Sales) preferred, but not required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Must be able to effectively communicate with others, have good vision, and be able to operate a calculator, fax machine, telephone, copier, hand truck, hammer, screwdriver, and utility knife.
Physical Demands
  • Seeing: Must be able to see and read labels, signs, and other written materials.
  • Color Perception: Must be able to distinguish between different colors and shades.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to Travel: Must be able to travel to assigned retail territories.
  • Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Listening: Must be able to listen to and understand client needs and concerns.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Must be able to push and pull carts and other equipment.
  • Carrying: Must be able to carry items up to 30 pounds.
