Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Apprentice to join our team as an Equipment Maintenance Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our company vehicles and equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills to ensure ongoing effectiveness in handling all aspects of the work.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to coworkers, customers, and members of the general public.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, as required by company policies and guidelines.
  • Account for and maintain all assigned tools and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties and special assignments as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
  • Completion of pre-apprenticeship in commercial transport, heavy-duty, or automotive is required.
  • Valid Class 7 or 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract is required.
  • Proficient in using computer software and programs (GMS/Focus software) is required.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
  • Ability to acquire and record accurate information.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Dedicated and committed.
