Mainroad Mid-Island Contracting LP is seeking a skilled Mechanical Apprentice to join our team in Parksville, BC. As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our company vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure all necessary documentation is up to date.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of our maintenance team.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Completion of pre-apprenticeship in commercial transport, heavy-duty, or automotive required.
- Valid Class 7 or 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract required.
- Proficient in using computer software and programs (GMS/Focus software) required.
- Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations required.
- Ability to acquire and record accurate information required.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions required.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor required.
- Ability to work within a team environment required.
- Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Safety conscious required.
- Dedicated and committed required.
