About the Role:
The YMCA BC is seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Professional to join our team at the YMCA Tumbler Ridge. As a School Age Leader, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and creative programming for children.
Responsibilities:
- Interact directly with children, providing quality care and creative programming.
- Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing excellent service and building meaningful relationships.
- Implement YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum with the support of your leader.
- Plan and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate program of activities.
- Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and YMCA requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must be 19 years of age and able to provide three professional references.
- Responsible Adult certification, equivalent child-related training, or a willingness to obtain training.
- Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Current Child Care First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or willingness to obtain.
