Job Summary

The United Church of Canada is seeking an experienced Regional Animator to join their team in Bermuda - Nova Scotia Region.

This is a term contract position with 12 hours of work per week, starting from September 2024 to December 31, 2025. As a Regional Animator, you will work with communities of faith to establish basic regional clusters, providing a structure for lay persons and ministry personnel to meet and support each other.

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Consultation and Engagement: Collaborate with communities of faith, regional representatives, and ministry personnel to determine geographical clustering and learn from existing clusters and groups.
  • Planning and Development: Analyze information and data collected from consultations to create a plan for cluster animation and identify ground leaders.
  • Cluster Support: Follow up with individual clusters and identify areas for improvement.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as computer science, statistics, or business administration. They should also have 3-5 years of experience in research and data analysis or data management in a not-for-profit setting.

The United Church of Canada values strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and in teams, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will also have experience with project management tools, MS Dynamics, and CRM systems.

Working Conditions

The United Church of Canada has adopted a hybrid workplace model, allowing for flexibility and remote work. The incumbent will be provided with secure devices and must be available by email, phone, teams, or Zoom.

Compensation
