About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Canning Personal Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
  • Mobility and Transfers: Safely transfer residents from wheelchairs to beds and assist with mobility exercises.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including their living areas and bathrooms.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
Work Environment

Our nursing home provides a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel to assist residents. You will also be required to lift and move residents safely.
