We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Commission scolaire Central Québec / Central Québec School Board. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our educational institutions and buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and good condition of our buildings, including cleaning devices and equipment, ordering materials and supplies, and conducting basic inspections of lighting systems, heating, ventilation, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers.
- Building Operations: Coordinate and supervise work performed by other employees, ensure adequate security against theft or fire, and perform minor or temporary repairs as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, products, and equipment, and ensure compliance with standards for use, storage, and safe disposal.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other employees to ensure effective communication and collaboration in the performance of duties.
- Experience: Three (3) years of pertinent experience in facilities maintenance and operations.
- Skills: General knowledge of heating, ventilation, lighting, and alarm systems, as well as basic knowledge of building trades and spoken English.
