Music Teacher Specialist

Job Summary:

HongDe Elementary School is seeking a highly qualified Music Teacher Specialist to join our team. As a Music Teacher Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching music, choir, and musical theatre to students in grades K-5.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach music, choir, and musical theatre to students in grades K-5
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement BC's Education Plan and the Redesigned Curriculum
  • Use technology to enhance teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • Valid BC teaching certificate
  • Experience teaching music, choir, and musical theatre at the elementary level
  • Strong knowledge of inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches
  • Passion for innovation and creativity
  • Reflective and committed to continuous professional growth and improvement
  • Native or native-like fluency in both oral and written traditional Mandarin
