Job Title: Automotive Service Technician
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Northwest Employment Works. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive issues.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, and electrical system faults using computerized diagnostic tools and other testing devices.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel systems, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
- Communicate with customers to explain issues and recommend repairs or maintenance.
- Keep detailed records of services performed and parts used.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Automotive Service Technician or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal automotive mechanic training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
