Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Shift Manager to oversee the Service Department's daily operations, ensuring exceptional quality of work, effective communication, and outstanding customer satisfaction.

This permanent position is based in Swift Current (SK), Shaunavon (SK), or Preeceville (SK), offering a competitive salary range of 105K – 120K and full benefits.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assigning and scheduling internal/customer/warranty jobs for service employees, providing feedback, and working closely with the Service Business Manager on new hire orientation and mentorship.
  • They will optimize shop efficiency and flow, minimizing lost billable hours, and ensure effective communication and follow-up on repair status and issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assign and schedule internal/customer/warranty jobs for service employees based on their skills/knowledge and provide constructive feedback.
  2. Collaborate with the Service Business Manager on new hire orientation and provide mentorship for new technicians.
  3. Optimize shop efficiency and flow to minimize lost billable hours.
  4. Evaluate and address equipment performance issues with technicians and apprentices.
  5. Conduct final checks/approvals on equipment before start of work orders.
  6. Maintain excellent customer service consistently above standards; develop and maintain customer relationships.
  7. Work with the Service Advisor to provide accurate quotes on repairs for internal/external customers and maintain accurate records of work orders.
  8. Foster strong team dynamics and encourage safe working habits through regular safety meetings.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in complex service repairs/maintenance.
  • Journeyperson Certification in Ag Equipment Tech (JDTECH) or equivalent desired.
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in ag/turf equipment repair.
  • Proficiency in current business systems and computer functions.
