Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at RhynoCare Healthcare. As an RPN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in long term and acute care facilities in the Long Sault area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
  • Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
  • Ensure timely and accessible admissions, comprehensive orientations, and safe resident transfers and discharges.
  • Manage and control medications, narcotics, and other substances in accordance with protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet residents' physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs.
Requirements:
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
  • BLS Certificate.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV) and negative TB skin test within one year, as well as Hepatitis B.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shift times, including 8- or 12-hour shifts, and ability to 'float' between units as needed.
  • Reliability and adherence to RhynoCare Healthcare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
