About the Role

Brampton Electrical Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Install underground wiring and cables to meet electrical needs.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up-to-date to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and integrity of circuits to identify potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet electrical needs.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to meet electrical needs.
  • Supervise other workers to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate budgeting and planning.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Requirements
  • Electrician Trade Certification to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment to promote youth development and employment.
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people to promote reconciliation and inclusion.
  • Permanent employment to ensure stability and security.
  • English language proficiency to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • 32 hours per week to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
