Electrical Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at TEC Electrical. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Install underground wiring and cables to connect electrical systems and ensure reliable power supply.
- Conduct regular maintenance to identify and repair faults, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults to ensure electrical systems are functioning within safe parameters.
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults to quickly resolve issues and minimize disruptions.
- Connect power to audio and visual equipment to ensure seamless operation of our systems.
- Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to expand our electrical infrastructure.
- Supervise other workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Estimate costs and materials to plan and budget for electrical projects.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs to prevent electrical system failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand electrical system designs and requirements.
- Electrician Trade Certification to demonstrate expertise and commitment to the trade.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Participation in government or community programs that support newcomers, youth, and Indigenous people.
- Permanent employment with a regular 32-hour workweek.
- English language proficiency as the primary language of communication.
