Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient manufacture of high-quality pharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manufacture pharmaceutical products in accordance with written processing orders.
  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for production, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean processing equipment and rooms, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Follow Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and GMP requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic related manufacturing.
  • Ability to maintain records, follow instructions, and work well in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of GMP, safety standards, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and the English language.

Standards and Expectations:

  • Follow all EH&S policies and procedures, working collaboratively with team members.
  • Carry out duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOPs and GMP.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to departmental systems.
  • Actively engage in problem-solving, identifying areas for improvement and communicating risks to timelines.
  • Consistently strive to improve skills and knowledge in related fields.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing locations.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for prolonged periods.
  • Manipulation of light to medium weights up to 40 pounds.
  • Arm, hand, and finger dexterity, visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to sit, reach, talk, and hear for prolonged periods.
