Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in welding and metal fabrication, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints and drawings
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and specifications
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
  • Fabricate and repair metal parts and products
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in welding and metal fabrication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
