Job Summary

5-Star Drywall Ltd. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure a durable finish.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to meet project specifications.
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists to ensure a stable structure.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry to achieve a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a seamless finish.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts to meet project requirements.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment.
  • Physically demanding work requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
