Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Northern Health Authority.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work within a client and family-centered care model, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to clients in accordance with the expected competencies within the Entry to Practice Competencies, Scope of Practice, and Standards of Practice as outlined by BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve client-centered care goals.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • One (1) year of recent, related acute care or residential experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills within a specific clinical specialty or patient population dependent on the nature of the caseload.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to assign care and share knowledge with the multidisciplinary team, clients, and families.
