We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cogen Superintendent to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fire systems, process safety equipment, and steam and power generation assets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of Power Engineers and skilled tradespeople to achieve daily production levels within safety, budget, and quality goals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, WorksafeBC, TSBC, and insurance standards by maintaining accurate records and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational issues, and implement process improvements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
- 2nd Class Power Engineer Certification.
- Proven track record of leading a team of Power Engineers or other skilled tradespeople.
- Extensive experience working with steam and power combustion generation.
- Commitment to working safely and adhering to industry standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of boiler and pressure vessel codes and regulations.
