Sun Glow Window Coverings Products of Canada Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Technologist to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced mechanical design technologist to work on various projects, utilizing CAD software to create detailed designs and specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures, as well as preparing engineering drawings and specifications. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks software.
The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, making decisions under pressure while maintaining a high level of organization. Experience is an asset, but not required.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop mechanical components, tools, and systems using CAD software
- Create detailed designs and specifications for production
- Prepare and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Estimate costs and materials for projects
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in mechanical design and development
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and SolidWorks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Competitive salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
