Job Summary

Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Resource Team (NRT). As a valued member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to a diverse range of patient populations across our seven hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to patients in various settings, including medical/surgical, pediatrics, and critical care
  • Respond to patient needs based on acuity, replacement for sick time, vacation, and known vacancies
  • Participate in a comprehensive onsite orientation program to ensure success in the role
  • Develop and maintain skills and expertise through ongoing education and training
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Recent clinical nursing experience in acute medical/surgical (within the last 5 years) preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nursing assessment and management of patients, including the nursing care plan
  • Demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary care and a nursing professional practice model
Preferred Qualifications
  • Critical Care Certificate preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support certifications preferred
  • Recent experience in ECG interpretations, pressure monitoring, airway management, and mechanical ventilators preferred
