Drywall Installation Specialist

KARIGARS INTERIORS LTD is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in supervising other workers and applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other drywall installers
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to prevent damage
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
