About the Role:

At KARIGARS INTERIORS LTD, we are seeking a skilled Wall Surface Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Craftsman, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finishes on our interior and exterior wall surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate with other team members to achieve project deadlines.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a durable and aesthetically pleasing surface.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering and drywall installation.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond between layers.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency to achieve a strong and durable finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring to provide a solid base for plastering and drywall installation.
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs to provide a stable framework for plastering and drywall installation.
  • Prepare wall and ceiling layouts to ensure accurate and efficient installation of plaster and drywall.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to access all areas of the project site.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation and plaster finishing.

Working Conditions:
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
