Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Byron Community Pharmacy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and Workflow Management: Assist with scheduling appointments, managing workflows, and ensuring seamless operations within the pharmacy.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform general clerical tasks such as data entry, answering phone calls, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Supply Chain Management: Maintain an efficient supply chain by ordering and stocking medications, equipment, and other essential items.
  • Billing and Insurance Claims: Process third-party insurance claims, handle billing, and ensure timely payments.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting Healthcare Professionals: Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including preparing patient information, assisting with medication management, and performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience.
