Job Overview

We are seeking a Data Architect with a passion for designing and building cloud and data solutions. As a key member of our technology team, you will play a crucial role in architecting and guiding the build and support of a cloud platform, solutions, and data services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop resilient, cloud and hybrid-cloud data solutions with exemplary architecture and design.
  2. Apply a strategic mindset to direct the technology stack, minimize technical debt, and maximize the opportunity for digital transformation.
  3. Provide expert advice to the team leading a multi-year data architecture modernization program, ensuring the target architecture is appropriate for our evolving needs.
  4. Apply expertise in data and advanced analytics with multiple data platforms, technologies, and frameworks to design patterns and principles, engineer principles, develop frameworks, and build scalable applications for the cloud.
  5. Architect solutions in a lean/agile way, considering scalability, resilience, partner interfaces, security, data validation, representation, and storage.
  6. Understand and contribute to the technical solution from design to the code level.
  7. Document designs to foster knowledge sharing across the organization and create agreement on what we're building.
  8. Promote best practices for software engineering to ensure solid code and usability consistency across teams.
Requirements
  1. 8-10 years' experience as a Data Architect with expertise in designing and developing complex, scalable client-facing solutions using a mix of on-premises and cloud technologies.
  2. Experience in programming, scripting, automation, and customization initiatives.
  3. Excellent soft skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts to business sponsors and non-technical colleagues.
  4. Financial Services industry experience, preferably interacting with data flowing from Broadridge Dataphile or ISM back-office applications, and/or trading applications.
  5. Experience with Snowflake or a competing cloud data platform.
  6. Understanding of BI Reporting, ETL/ELT, and OLAP architecture.
  7. Experience with data governance, master data management (MDM), data tagging, and data masking.
Education
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or related education or commensurate experience.
