As a visionary IT architect, you will create a comprehensive technology roadmap to align business needs with cutting-edge technologies. You will lead the design and implementation of repeatable technical solutions and processes, defining efficient and transparent architectural principles, standards, and guidelines for the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technology architecture strategies to drive business growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define architectural possibilities and futures.
  • Work with business and development teams to recommend processes or system design enhancements.
  • Provide immediate response to critical production program-wide problems to evaluate solutions, coordinate applicable recovery, and ensure resolution.
  • Lead and facilitate the design of technology projects and applications.
  • Review technical work and develop productivity aids to accelerate delivery.
  • Ensure sound and robust architecture and provide sufficient guidance for the successful implementation of solutions to mitigate negative enterprise technology and budget impacts.
  • Identify risks or issues with technology solution and design that may impact realization of project benefits, and guide and support stakeholders in making good decisions that proactively resolve or mitigate potential project risks/delays.
  • Participate in the system specification review process to ensure system requirements can be translated into valid software architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen the capability of the technology organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities, and individual learning.
  • Provide architectural expertise and domain knowledge to advise and guide senior leaders.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure engineer in Data and Data warehousing technologies.
  • 10+ relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge on Data Lake, Data Warehousing, Distributed systems and Data infrastructure concepts.
  • Solid experience with ML infrastructure and ML DevOps.
  • Experience in migrating data from on-prem Hadoop to AWS/Azure Cloud.
  • Hands-on experience in different domains, like database architecture, business intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, big data, etc.
  • Solid experience creating CI/CD pipelines to manage infrastructure deployment and code deployment.
  • Excellent communication skills for providing specialized consulting, analytical and technical support to internal team members and external CIO Business teams.
