About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at A & W Cardston. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and provide guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have the resources we need to operate efficiently.
  • Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and take on a leadership role to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure that we can operate efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with a need to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
