Job Title: Lead Culinary Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at West Coast Grill Sooke. This is a seasonal position with the opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Job Summary:

  • This role involves preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for customers.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, a secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and excellent oral communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
