Indigenous Education Advocate for Fraser Lake

**School District #91 (Nechako Lakes)** is seeking a dedicated Indigenous Education Advocate to support the academic, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of Indigenous students in our schools. As an advocate, you will play a crucial role in promoting pride in Indigenous culture and providing additional culture, language, and social and emotional support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indigenous education principles and practices, as well as experience working with Indigenous families and communities. A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, along with two years of studies related to working with Indigenous families and children, is required. The position also requires a B.C. Driver's License class 5 with an exemplary driving record and six months of current relevant experience working with Indigenous students.
We offer a competitive salary of $ **$45,000 - $65,000 per year**, depending on qualifications and experience. This full-time position is available immediately.
In addition to your passion for Indigenous education, we are looking for someone who is familiar with local band offices, staff, and organizations, as well as WHMIS Certificate and Work Safe BC safety procedures.
