- Stock Management: Receive and stock merchandise, maintain accurate inventory levels, and ensure that shelves are fully stocked and facing.
- Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments.
- Store Maintenance: Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking shelves.
- Order Fulfillment: Fill customer orders, including picking and packing items for shipment or delivery.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, resolve customer complaints, and maintain a positive store environment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Air-conditioned, cold/refrigerated, dusty, and odorous.
- Work Setting: Supermarket/grocery store.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and overtime required.
- Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, work term: permanent, work language: English, and hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
