Pediatric Cardiology Division Head

BC Children's Hospital and University of British Columbia are seeking a visionary leader to head the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
About the DivisionThe Division of Pediatric Cardiology is a provincial resource, providing comprehensive care to children with heart conditions. With a team of eight full-time members and three regional partners, the Division offers a wide range of services, including fetal diagnostic cardiology, catheterization, and electrophysiology.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the clinical and academic services of the Division
- Support excellence in the delivery of care to children across British Columbia
- Collaborate with healthcare learners from multiple disciplines
- Develop and implement strategies to promote patient safety and family-centered care
- Work with the Provincial Health Services Authority to plan and develop specialized clinical services for children and youth in BC
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated a commitment to academic and clinical excellence in pediatric cardiology
- Leadership and management skills within an academic tertiary health care system
- Eligibility to obtain a specialist's license to practice in British Columbia
- Qualifications for an academic appointment to the Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia
