Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing entire engagements from start to finish, participating in budgets, planning, execution, reporting, and supervision of junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and complete audit, review, and compilation files and related tax preparation and filings.
- Understand technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision.
- Recognize relevant financial statement issues from basic analysis.
- Build effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts.
- Manage allocated projects or assignments, including financial management.
- Respond effectively to client requests and suggestions relating to an assignment.
- Supervise and train junior and intermediate staff.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- CPA Designated or working towards a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- 3+ years of public accounting experience.
- 2+ years of audit experience.
- Knowledge of and experience working with the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience in tax preparation but not mandatory.
- Experience leading assurance engagements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.
- Strong file management skills and organization, able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience working with accounting and tax software such as Quickbooks, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep, and Simply Accounting.
