About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a key member of our Pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of prescription dispensing, while providing exceptional customer service and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs
  • Counsel patients on new and additional medications in a friendly and proactive manner
  • Create awareness and educate customers through public health initiatives and clinics
  • Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests
  • Review and control costs within the dispensary
  • Provide ongoing training to new and existing Pharmacy colleagues

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacists license
  • Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism
  • Excellent leadership and performance management skills
  • Proven ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including experience formulating and executing action plans
  • Strong personal computing skills, as well as knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer system
