Job Title: Structural Engineer - Infrastructure Design and Management

Planate Management Group is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Ukraine. As a key member of our infrastructure design and management team, you will be responsible for designing and managing the architect and engineering (A&E) and construction activities of the USAID recent Health Reform and Recovery Activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, design, and budget estimates, and review and approve technical construction designs.
  • Track and manage project expenditures to ensure projects are within budget and financial goals are met.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project deliverables and monitor project progress, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead coordination with other USAID bureaus/offices and other USG, United Nations (UN), and/or multilateral agencies/donors.
  • Manage project risks and issues and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Ensure all projects follow standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver infrastructure guidance materials such as training, reports, case studies, or other media as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and establish project goals, objectives, and timelines.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, essential.
  • Must have a Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • Preferably can speak Ukrainian.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in infrastructure design, management, and oversight of related procurement and services.
  • Experience on USAID or other donor-funded infrastructure projects essential.
  • Strong understanding of USAID standards and regulations for construction.
  • Experience in context-appropriate infrastructure design, management, and oversight of the related procurements and services.
