About ASPIRE Initiative

Manitoba's food systems are evolving, facing disruption; sustainability is both our biggest challenge and greatest opportunity. To address this, ASPIRE has been created by and for stakeholders across all protein sectors in the province. The goal is to make Manitoba a world leader in sustainable protein through a comprehensive strategy.

The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Director to lead Project ASPIRE, working closely with the Vice President of CME, Manitoba, and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalizing, leading, and growing the project, utilizing CME's resources and network.

Responsibilities

  1. Drive Project ASPIRE's internal and external functions, including leadership and strategy, communications, community engagement, and data-information.
  2. Develop and implement a measurement system to track outcomes and indicators across the initiative, using results to make adjustments, inform learning, and continuously improve.
  3. Work closely with multiple stakeholders including the Manitoba Protein Consortium, key stakeholders across the protein sector, industry, governments, academia, and Indigenous leaders.
  4. Maintain a contextual understanding of implementation challenges and develop comprehensive solutions.
  5. Advance Sustainable Protein initiatives in a coordinated, opportunistic manner, in concert with Roundtables.
  6. Provide direction and support to partner organizations in aligning their work to the Common Agenda.
  7. Identify and engage new funding sources and ensure that required reporting is completed.
  8. Participate in relevant networks and ensure stakeholder engagement.
