At SUKHDEV RESTAURANT INC., we are seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. They will also be required to inspect kitchens and food service areas, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooking and Menu Development: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Training and Supervision: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory and Maintenance: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen facilities are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
