Long Haul Truck Driver

Optimum Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation
- Load and unload goods, operating and driving straight or articulated trucks
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch, recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Valid passport
- Criminal record check
- Medical exam
As a Long Haul Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials, while also providing excellent customer service.
