About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Southbridge Owen Sound. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality resident care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.
Requirements
  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Registration/eligibility with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with a comprehensive understanding of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed problem-solving skills to address complex situations.
