About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at CERAMEX ENTERPRISES INC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to woodworking and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and handling heavy loads. The role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in noisy environments
  • Willingness to relocate for the position
