Job Description: As a Mechanical Engineer on our new product development team, you will collaborate with multiple departments to integrate innovative technologies and improve design and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed engineering assessments of innovative technology concepts
  • Lead the design and execution of structured experimental plans to drive data-based decisions
  • Apply structured problem-solving, lean principles, and best practice process development to drive product and process improvements
  • Work independently and handle non-routine situations as an individual contributor
  • Perform mathematical calculations, ensuring designs meet functional and structural requirements
  • Select appropriate materials based on properties, effects on design performance, and choose suitable manufacturing processes
  • Design and introduce manufacturing processes to increase capabilities and efficiencies
  • Integrate mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, incorporating components such as actuators, grippers, air presses, motors, solenoid valves, and safety relays
  • Present technical data and recommendations to stakeholders during key technical updates
  • Adhere to Quality Management System requirements and Health & Safety policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience as an individual contributor
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, with extensive experience in design and simulation
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Strong root cause analysis skills
  • Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work experience in the medical device industry
