Job Title: Transport Truck Trailer Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Southern Industrial & Truck Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Own transportation
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Tools
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Dependability
  • Excellent written communication
