Job Title: Inclusion Team Teacher

Join our team of dedicated educators at School District #37 (Delta) as an Inclusion Team Teacher. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting students with unique learning challenges.

About the Role:

The Inclusion Team Teacher will work collaboratively with elementary classroom teachers to provide individualized support to students with diverse needs. This includes developing and implementing education plans, such as Individual Education Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans, to ensure students have access to prevention and intervention related supports and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student success in the classroom environment
  • Develop and implement education plans, including Individual Education Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans
  • Provide individualized opportunities for students to develop core competencies
  • Act as case manager, coordinating specialized services such as occupational therapy and physiotherapy
  • Liaise with Learning Services personnel and outside agencies to support students and families
Qualifications:

We are seeking a qualified educator with:

Diploma or Master's in the area of Inclusive Education preferredAt least three courses in inclusive education in the area of ASD, intellectual disability, and physical impairmentSuccessful elementary level teaching experienceExperience using a strength-based approach and a UDL framework to enable student access to curriculum learning in the classroom environmentExperience developing and implementing Individual Education Plans, Safety Plans, and Positive Behavior Support PlansWhat We Offer:
