We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Evergreen Home for Special Care - Seniors Centre. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and complete treatments as prescribed by the Registered Nurse Supervisor.
- Direct Continuing Care Assistants in the provision of direct resident care, ensuring that each resident receives individualized attention and support.
- Work as a team leader, providing guidance and support to colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure that residents receive comprehensive care, including medical, social, and emotional support.
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program.
- Currently licensed in the province of Nova Scotia or qualified for licensing.
- Successful completion of Pharmacology course.
- Ability to work as a team member and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
- Strong desire to promote excellent care to adults, seniors, and children.
- Demonstrated consistent regular attendance in current and past employment.
- Availability to work all shifts (8 or 12 hour rotating shifts).
- Recent experience in pediatric and geriatric care preferred.
- Preference given to candidates with leadership experience.
- Preference given to candidates with competency in computer technology, including Microsoft Word, electronic charting, and scheduling.
