Job Description

  • Transport Goods Safely and Efficiently: Drive long-distance routes to deliver goods safely and on time, taking into account factors such as weather conditions, road closures, and traffic congestion.
  • Maintain Truck and Vehicle Safety: Inspect and maintain the truck regularly to ensure it is in good working order, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brake function.
  • Follow Traffic Laws and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with all applicable traffic laws and safety regulations, including hours of service rules and weight restrictions.
  • Keep Detailed Logs: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any issues encountered during transport.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL): Possess a valid CDL with a clean driving record.
  • Long-Haul Trucking Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in long-haul trucking or a similar role.
  • Road Safety Knowledge: Demonstrate strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Be able to work independently and manage long hours on the road.
