Job Summary:

The Room Attendant will play a vital role in ensuring the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met in all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. This position requires a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service, with a focus on maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and discuss room assignment sheets with the Housekeeping Supervisor at the start of each shift to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Adhere to Coast Hotels' safety regulations, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Follow established procedures for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, including changing linens and ensuring all amenities are in place.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned rooms to identify any deficiencies and complete work orders for the maintenance department as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping team to maintain a high level of customer service and ensure a positive guest experience.
  • Sort recyclable items according to Coast Hotels' recycling program guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • High school education is preferred, but a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 40 pounds, stand and/or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive foot and hand actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking team environment.
  • Superior customer service philosophy and good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as part-time to full-time work.
