Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Shuttle Truck Driver to join our team at Labatt Breweries of Canada. As a Shuttle Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering kegs to various locations, managing truck yards, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver kegs to customers and manage truck yards to ensure efficient operations
  • Perform daily circle checks on vehicles and report any defects to the Manager
  • Manage trailers in three yards and ensure compliance with applicable weight regulations
  • Assist with makeup orders and other assigned duties as required
  • Move kegs (160 lbs.) and adhere to plant health and safety regulations
  • Comply with national Safety Code and transport regulations for large vehicles
  • Assume responsibilities and follow Standard Operating Procedures in the area of responsibility
  • Actively implement VPO processes and use VPO tools to drive improvement in business

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 Drivers License with an air brake endorsement
  • 5 years safe driving record in operation of a tractor-trailer, including 5 years accident-free driving record, 5 years free of convictions for moving traffic violations, and 5 years free of convictions for alcohol or drug offenses
  • Capable of driving all vehicles in the Company Fleet, including straight trucks or tandems, tractor trailers
  • Successful completion of a medical examination
  • Physically capable and able to satisfactorily perform all regular duties of the position, including following safe work practices and wearing proper PPE
  • Willing to work in all areas of the operation and shifts unsupervised as required
