The Team

The Infrastructure Engineering team is dedicated to delivering secure, reliable, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure for Carta's clients and developers.

Our team consists of Software and Infrastructure Engineers specializing in cloud computing, networking, systems design and architecture, storage, real-time data telemetry, automation, tooling, and processes. We possess extensive knowledge of Carta's infrastructure and industry best practices, which translates into significant advantages for our business.

Candidate Profile

As a technical leader, you will guide all aspects of the team's domain architecture, empowering engineers to make informed technical decisions. You will collaborate closely with other Platform Infrastructure and Product teams to develop and scale their services.

You are passionate about creating scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure that supports the entire organization. Our technology stack includes Python, Java, Terraform, gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and Postgres, all operating on AWS. We invite you to join us.

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale projects, including technical deep-dives and resolving production issues across various domains: compute, networking, communications, storage, operating systems, and software engineering.
  • A strong history of leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring geographically distributed teams for over four years.
  • Experience in writing production-quality code in a major programming language, such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • The ability to empower teams and resolve conflicts with empathy and clarity.
  • Experience in building services and successfully guiding projects from inception to production.
  • A deep understanding of Linux, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with service mesh architecture is a significant advantage.
  • A commitment to infrastructure as code and a passion for software development and automation. Experience in managing infrastructure costs is a plus.
  • A strong focus on enhancing customer and developer experiences.
  • Production experience in building infrastructure on public cloud technologies and leading incident management at scale.

We are an equal opportunity employer, dedicated to providing a positive interview experience for all candidates. If you require accommodations due to a disability or medical condition, please connect with our recruitment team.
